#8 AWG Two Conductor Stranded Solar Panel Wiring Cable

Note: The wire that we currently have in stock is two black wires. They are individually labeled for easy identification. One wire is labeled "1-One-1" and the other is labeled "2-Two-2."

Tray Cable: This is the standard heavy wire for all outdoor and indoor solar panel wiring applications. #8 is commonly used for wiring medium to large panel arrays to the junction box, array combiner, or charge controller.

Water and sunlight (UV) resistant. UL approved for use without conduit. Also known as type TC (tray cable). Complies with NEC article 340 and is rated as sunlight and moisture resistant. Suitable for direct burial. Minimum order is 10 feet.

We do not recommend #8 for direct wiring in solar panel junction boxes - it is hard to work with and too large for most terminals.

Black/White is shown, but cable may be Blk/Wht, Red/Wht, or Blk/Blk depending on manufacturer.. Either is NEC 690 approved for solar as long as the white wire is the negative or ground side.
