Dankoff Solar Slowpump Model 1322
The Dankoff Solar Slowpump model 1322 is available in 12 Volts DC, 24 Volts DC and 115 Volts AC. It's maximum PSI is about 195 and the maximum suction lift is 20 feet at sea level. For every 1,000 feet of elevation, the pump loses 1 foot of suction lift. For example: If your elevation is 4,000 feet, the maximum suction lift of the pump will be 16 feet. It's always best to limit the suction lift as much as possible. By placing the pump closer to the water source, it will run more efficiently and quietly. A noisy pump can indicate that your total suction lift exceeds the pump's specifications. This pump cannot tolerate dirt. The water MUST be filtered clear. Sea water and dissolved minerals will not cause any problems.
The 12 volt and 24 volt models can be powered directly with solar power. If this is your desired application, the rated power of the PV array must exceed the pump watts by at least 20%. If you need the pump to turn on in low light conditions, you may need to use a linear current booster.
