Note: The KD185GX-LFBS and the KD185GX-LPU are electrically identical. The only difference between the two modules is the LFBS module has an extra strengthening support bar that is positioned across the back of the module and the cells are blue.

The Kyocera KD185GX modules are normally used for grid-tie applications. They are not a true 12 volt or 24 volt module. However, they can be used for battery charging if the proper type of MPPT charge controller is used to step down the voltage for your batteries.
