Primus Wind Power Turbines and Accessories
| As of January 2013, Primus Wind Power, located in Lakewood, Colorado, has purchased the entire AIR turbine product line from Southwest Windpower. Primus Wind Power is a newly established division of the Primus Group, which is a leading provider of high complexity assemblies and components for the energy, aerospace, defense, and medical industries. All business related to the AIR turbines is now being handled by Primus, including all warranty issues with the Southwest Windpower units and all replacement parts. Primus will continue to provide the same high quality standards that we had come to expect from Southwest Windpower. Primus Wind Power manufactures three different AIR wind turbines: AIR 30, AIR 40 and AIR Breeze. Each model has a built in regulator which means you do not need to purchase a separate charge controller. The AIR 30 and AIR 40 are intended for land use only but the AIR Breeze can be used on land or in marine environments. The AIR Breeze comes with aircraft quality paint and marine grade O-ring seals to protect against harsh environmental conditions. In order for these generators to produce their rated energy output, they need to be exposed to an average wind speed of 13 mph. The AIR 30 is designed for high wind speed areas and requires faster wind speeds to start up. For lower wind speed areas, the AIR 40 is better suited. | |||||
