THHN #4 AWG Stranded Copper Wire

THHN #4 gauge stranded copper wire. We only offer this in black. Most customers use this wire for connecting power from their combiner box to their equipment. It can also be used for wiring the internal components of Outback and MidNite Solar brand enclosures. THHN must be installed in electrical conduit or enclosures. When installing multiple conductors, you will want to use electrical tape to mark the ends of the wire for identification. It is NOT rated for exposure to sunlight or the elements. If you need outdoor rated wire, we recommend the XLP rated wire. If you are not sure of what size or type of wire you need, please give us a call or email us.

THHN stands for Thermoplastic High Heat-resistant Nylon coated. It's used more often than any other type of insulation. Because of its excellent heat resistant properties, it works well for many different applications. THHN is not very flexible due to its nylon jacket. When installing inside of conduit, you may want to purchase some wire soap from your local hardware store to make installation a little easier.
