Fronius String Control 250/25
The Fronius String Control 250/25 is not a typical PV combiner box. This unit is much more advanced and rated for up to 25 module strings. It continually monitors all strings to be sure they are equal in voltage and amperage. This allows you to find problems with your solar arrays before they cause you serious problems. It uses standard (10mm x 38mm) high voltage combiner fuses rated no more than 20 amps DC max. The DC input terminals will accept #12 AWG to #8 AWG stranded copper wire. The box is rated NEMA 3R for outdoor locations. This means it's waterproof and rainproof when installed properly and can be installed in locations with up to 95% relative humidity (non condensing). The power coated aluminum finish will prevent corrosion in areas near bodies of water. It's compatible with the Fronius Solar Net communications protocol as well as RS485. The unit weighs 26.5 lbs.
