The Automatic Backup Device (ABD) works seamlessly with GoodWe ES-US and SBP-US inverters to enable whole-home backup for North American homeowners. Equipped with an integrated North American Smart Meter, it supports up to four CTs for high-precision monitoring of household appliances—offering more accurate insights than many other solutions.

Goodwe ABD (Auto Backup Device) is needed to be used with ES-US20 inverter to provide backup power during a power outage. Without ABD installed the Hybrid inverter/ battery bank can only operate when utility grid power is present.
