Transitioning to 100% Solar Power
The Arizona youth camp and learning center we worked with is a sprawling, 55-acre, 100 bed camp dedicated to giving kids hands-on experience in life skills and outdoor living. Their facilities include a basketball court, volleyball court, softball field, rec center, pavilion, health center, and several types of lodging.
Previously, they ran on a small number of solar panels heavily backed up by diesel generators, but with the construction of a new pavilion, the owners saw an opportunity to go full solar.
They chose NAZ Solar Electric as their solar distributor for the direct pricing and expertise of the team. We were proud to help them assemble the best equipment and components for the job while staying within budget.

The setup included a generator combiner in the event the diesel generator was needed. And a bypass switch was installed to make it easy to perform maintenance or expand the system at a future date. At the end of the installation, the camp was running in near silence and with virtually zero maintenance.
