Fronius manufactures three major types of grid tie solar inverters: The IG Plus Advanced, The Galvo, and The Primo.
The latest and greatest Fronius grid-tie inverters are the IG Galvo and Primo lines, which are fully NEC 2014 and UL compliant. They come with built-in ground fault protection, DC reverse polarity protection, islanding protection, over temperature protection, and arc-fault circuit protection. If you're interested in three-phase models, the Symo inverters will meet your needs. Fronius inverters are available in both single phase and three phase AC models, which makes them suitable for both residential and commercial applications.
The newest Galvo and Primo inverters also come standard with Wi-Fi capability with included web monitoring via the Solar.web portal. Designed for single-phase AC, small to medium-sized residential applications.
Fronius IG Plus - The first complete inverter solution.
An outstanding addition to the family: The next generation Fronius IG Plus inverter builds on a successful model with multiple enhancements, including maximum power harvest, a built-in six circuit string combiner, integrated, lockable DC Disconnect, significantly improved efficiency, and unbeatable reliability. New, larger power stages expand the proven Fronius IG family from 2 to 12 kW in a single inverter.
At only 26 lbs, the Fronius IG does not require special bracing or a back plate to install. An aluminum mounting bracket comes standard with each IG, making installation fast and easy. Mount the aluminum bracket to the wall, slide the IG onto the positioning lip, and fasten the securing screws (included). The mounting bracket is pre-drilled and patterned for mounting to a single stud, flat wood or stucco siding, 6" and 8" lap siding, and shingles. Integrated DC/AC disconnects reduce installation time and cost.
Every FRONIUS IG comes standard with integrated DC and AC disconnects. Both DC and AC electrical connections are made in the convenient installer accessible wiring compartment. We've pre-wired the DC breaker to a heavy-duty terminal block that accepts up to eight #8 AWG conductors (four input strings). Large LCD display standard on all models. Each FRONIUS IG comes standard with an integrated LCD display to allow users easy access to a wealth of system information, including:

High efficiency with intelligent thermal management maximizes energy yield. The Fronius IG inverters combine several key design elements to ensure operation at a high efficiency under all operating conditions. MPPT accuracy of 99.9%- Regardless of which PV modules you use; crystalline, poly or thin film, the FRONIUS IG Module Manager software locks onto the array's maximum power point to optimize the energy output from your array. Accurate MPP tracking and high efficiency are maintained throughout the voltage and power range.
Active Cooling - To operate at full power over a wide range of temperatures, inverters components must be kept cool. Fronius, which perfected Active Cooling in HF welders, employs the same Active Cooling technology in its IG inverters. FRONIUS "LocalNet"
FRONIUS "LocalNet" is an in-house developed data communication system, which is noted for flexibility and stability. LocalNet devices connect to one another via the RS 485 interface using standard Cat5 networking cables. Once connected it is possible to transfer large volumes of data across long distances and all LocalNet devices can be conveniently accessed and managed from a PC computer.

The Fronius IG Plus Advanced is the first complete inverter lineup of the NEC 2011 compliant AFCI protected inverters in the United States. Power classes ranging from 3 to 12 kW in both single and true 3 phase applications with integrated Fronius MIX Technology and wide voltage windows are the perfect match for your system design.
The IG Plus Advanced have many improvements over the older IG, such as being configurable for either standard household 120/240 volt service, or for 208 Volt 3-phase commercial and industrial service. The IG Plus V inverter line is going to be phased out for the newer IG Plus Advanced models.
