Activation makes sense, we are going live, right? But what is commissioning?

Commissioning is the last checklist process that our team goes through with you (and your installer, if appropriate) that makes sure everything is working as it should be before you fully activate your solar energy system. It’s basically a live run through of an exhaustive list of all the different components and elements of the system, making sure that they are working as intended, and that YOU know how they work and how to manage them.

Commissioning

Once your system is installed and configured (see more about our Installation & Configuration support here), you are basically ready to activate and start using your system. However, the commissioning process allows us to run through everything with you before you activate your system to ensure that you are comfortable and confident that it will perform well under your supervision.

This is an abbreviated version of our commissioning process:

• Review all system connections for optimal energy flow and safety
• Review system design and confirm remote monitoring setup
• Test activation (turn the system on and ensure proper function)
• Troubleshoot as needed
• Final overview and confirmation

Once the commissioning process is complete and you are comfortable and satisfied that the system will accomplish its purpose, then we move on to activation!

Activation

This is the fun part! Now that everything is ready and reviewed, you can turn your system on! This is the part where you sit back, relax, and enjoy all the benefits that your new solar energy system gives you. Whether you are now fully off-grid, grid tied, grid-interactive, powering a boat, RV, EV, or any other system, you can enjoy it knowing that our team is always available to jump in and support you and your installation any time you need us.
