The Renon R-MC300-XTL01 is the main controller for the Xtreme LV 1.0 low-voltage energy storage system. It is the control unit of the battery cluster, mounting at the top of the stack above the battery modules and base. Every Xtreme LV cluster requires one main controller.
The controller manages and monitors the system through its built-in battery management coordination and an internal DC-DC converter that limits balance current between battery modules. This allows you to mix modules of different ages or states of charge without matching old and new units. It also carries the system's protection logic for over-charge, over-discharge, over-current, short circuit, and high/low temperature, along with an onboard LCD screen that displays SOC, SOH, power, voltage, fault codes, and module count.
Communication and configuration all live on the controller. It provides dual RJ45 inverter ports, a 6-pin inverter communication connector, two parallel communication ports for connecting up to 15 clusters, and a WiFi antenna port for cloud monitoring through the Renon Smart app. Three dial switches set the inverter brand (with preset profiles for Sol-Ark, Schneider, Victron, SMA, Solis, Deye, Growatt, and many others), cluster address, and communication impedance. Power connects through M8 positive and negative terminals.
The R-MC300-XTL01 is compatible with both the 16-series (51.2V nominal) and 15-series (48V nominal) Xtreme LV module families. This listing is for the main controller only; battery modules and base are sold separately.
