Note: The outside diameter of this pump is 3.8 inches. It is suitable for wells with a 4 inch diameter or larger.

This submersible well pump operates off of 12 to 30 volts DC, either solar panel direct or from a battery system. We recommend a 24 volt battery or solar panel system for depths over 75 feet or so unless you have a very low well water replenishment rate. These and most other DC pumps will run at about half speed at 12-15 volts. SunPumps SDS-D series submersible pumps are one of the highest quality, low voltage DC pumps on the market. They were the first diaphragm submersible introduced to the solar industry in 1988 and have an excellent performance record. The SDS series pumps are easy to install by hand without any special equipment. The pump includes a double shrink splice kit and a 1/2" brass discharge fitting.
