The SolarEdge three phase grid-tie inverters are designed to work with the SolarEdge Power Optimizers attached to your solar modules. The solar MPPT adjustments and voltage regulation are done at the optimizers, which means the main job of the inverter is to convert the DC power to AC power. This allows the unit to function more efficiently and consume less energy overall, in addition to making the unit more user friendly and cost effective. The fixed string voltage ensures operation at the highest efficiency at all times independent of string length and temperature. A data monitoring receiver has also been designed into the inverter. It collects data from all the Power Optimizers in your solar array. This data can be transmitted via the Internet to the SolarEdge monitoring portal, which gives you access to the data for monitoring system performance, detecting faults, and general troubleshooting.
