Victron Energy SmallBMS NG is a compact, cost-effective Battery Management System designed exclusively for Victron Lithium Battery Smart NG series (not compatible with earlier Lithium Smart batteries). It provides essential protection by managing charge and load disconnects and issuing low-voltage pre-alarms.

Ideal for systems that don't require inverter/charger integration, the SmallBMS NG is a simplified alternative to the VE.Bus BMS NG. It’s not compatible with VE.Bus inverter/chargers like the MultiPlus or Quattro.

With built-in Bluetooth, the SmallBMS NG allows direct wireless communication with connected Lithium NG batteries for centralized monitoring via the VictronConnect app. It reads battery data such as current and state of charge—eliminating the need for a separate SmartShunt.

The BMS supports batteries in series, parallel, or combined configurations, enabling scalable systems for 12V, 24V, and 48V applications:

• Up to 50 batteries in 12V or 24V systems (max: 192 kWh / 384 kWh)
• Up to 25 batteries in 48V systems (max: 128 kWh)

Multiple SmallBMS NG units can be paralleled for increased capacity and redundancy in larger installations.
